In September, Ecolab Indonesia’s Institutional Team travelled to Bandung in West Java, Indonesia to partake in a community volunteering program in partnership with IHG Group’s InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar Hotel to educate 60 school children about proper hygiene and hand washing.

Thanks to the Institutional Team’s efforts, this important educational program became a fun and interactive demonstration using Ecolab products.

Fajar Kurniawan, District Manager West, Institutional Indonesia, was involved in this initiative and shared “During the demo, we used the Ecolab UV Lamp to reveal how clean the children’s hands are after washing. The Ecolab UV Lamp has been proven to show the differences between unwashed and washed hands. Interestingly, what the children learned as a group is that those students who did not follow proper hand  washing procedures had to wash their hands again after seeing the results from the Ecolab UV Lamp.”

To increase awareness about the importance of adequate hand washing with soap and water fosters a healthy environment for the students and provide them the opportunity to agents of change for cleaner and brighter future.
